of home this summer:

horseback riding through waipio valley w/ my dad's tour group

such a big girl riding her own horse through the river! :)

part of my family @ cousin elton's (the one flexing) and his wife's baby shower

after the baby shower...hung out "on the rocks" with my sis and bro & the rest of my corpuz cousins & their sig Os (not pictured). there's a story behind this pic...i suggested us recreating the pose in a pic taken back in the day when we were kids, with jacked up hair and clothes. the adults had all of us line up in a row with my bro in the middle since he was the only boy. hey mom, wouldja send me that pic in your album so i can scan it and post it? it's truly HILarious! :)

  1. Jonelle,

Where in Hawaii are these pictures taken? I'm thinking about going to Hawaii, and I'm not sure which island to go to. Wherever these pictures are taken seems beautiful.

  2. hey N.J. :)

these pics are from the island of hawaii, nicknamed, "the big island". personally i would recommend visiting the big island due to its versatility (with the volcano, mountain, beaches, valleys and many historical sites), but then again i'm biased since its my home :).

it all depends what interests you. many people visit kauai...if you're looking for breathtaking geological features and a VERY laid back atmosphere. many honeymooners find this the ideal place. oahu has 2 sides: a fast-paced city side and a country side. both sides have many historical sites and recreational activities. oahu is well-known for its north shore, if surfing is something you'd like to do. maui is known for their beaches and valleys. molokai and lanai aren't visited as much, but both are much like kauai in that it is very slow paced there but beautiful. all of the islands have amazing snorkling and water activities. hope this helps! lemme know if you have questions, i'd be happy to help! :)
