finally

got to see the movie 27 dresses. when she showcased her stash of bridesmaid dresses, it made me think, "what the hell did i do with the ones i wore?" hmmm...{scratches head} couldn't tell ya...but one of 'em sure rallied a few of the ones in the movie!!! so if you haven't already, go see this-the bar scene was absolutely hilarious. oh, and a cool thing? the movie ended with one of my fave songs *ever*: like a star by corinne bailey rae. i love her.
Corinne Bailey Rae...

oh, and here's another song of importance to the movie, just for kicks:

weekend @ the movies

saw national treasure: book of secrets on friday night. it was a great sequel to the first. love, love, love riley. he cracks me up with his humor and witty comments that lighten intense situations. it was great that all the characters were back. i like it when that happens with sequels. also got to see juno. definitely go see this movie. it was hilarious. totally reminded me of napoleon dynamite. i can see why this movie has multiple golden globe nominations! was also supposed to see 27 dresses, but at the last minute they pushed the release date to next weekend because of the mlk jr. holiday (bigger opening $$$). i was slightly annoyed at that, but oh well...give me something to see later on i guess. oh, james marsden is in this movie. he was prince edward in tay's fave movie, enchanted. i have to admit it's a little weird not seeing him in his tights and hearing him sing! hope you have a great week!

edited post

for those who are interested, i included tay's unfinished letter to santa in the "barbie-mania" christmas post. you'll have to scroll down to check it out. this was a homework assignment from her school. it went on to explain why santa should bring her the requested toys, "i have been a good girl and a helper at school". :)

my name is

slim shady?! no, *silly* mama!!!

and what a name that is to spell! needed help on i and k, but she knew the rest. woo-hoo!!!

giving "princess bunny" some roller skates. i was so excited when i saw this. immediately thought of my early childhood classes/preschool student-teaching internship and some of the developmental milestones that i learned of this age. she's at the stage where her drawings are evolving into representational art (drawing actual, concrete objects). love it.
