the tv fiend has returned

what a week of tv! the premieres for most of "my shows" just wrapped up yesterday. it was like the first day of school, reacquainting myself with the characters, remembering the cliffhangers & events that lead the characters to the situations they were in. the bachelor absolutely cracked me up. i almost didn't tune in but when i learned that the dude was from austin, tx, i figured why not. *so* glad i did. there was a lush that lost her fake boob in the living room and when she realized she had lost it, she proceeded to pull out the other one from her dress to show the other women. classy. grey's was good. the last 2 minutes were amazing (julie, i still can't believe your dvr quit when it did!). the ending had me screaming "shut up!!!" @ the tv. i would like to say that i startled kai (my dog) but i guess she's used to me wiggin' out @ the tv. :) yes, i get into it! csi was psycho. even though you couldn't *make* me watch suspenseful shows/movies, i like csi. i know i give myself serious anxiety by seeing it, but i enjoy it. another show i shouldn't watch because of the suspense but do is criminal minds. that show is so good. gets me goin' so good sometimes that i am clinching the blanket so tightly over my face that my knuckles are white by the time i feel safe to see what's going on! i know, i know...weird. how i met your mother was okay...could have been better. i turned my brother on to that one. we love barney! caught private practice (addison's spin off from grey's) and that was ok too. there was a different feel from the crossover they did last season, i guess i'm still deciding if i like that show or not. i've talked to some people at work who give that show a thumbs down already. las vegas was pretty good. love mike. i'm not looking forward to the upcoming episodes though. when james caan leaves and with nikki cox gone, it'll be pretty empty. and, at last, the show you might find surprising to learn that i like is dexter. dexter premiered last night (on showtime). i love that show. it's a dark show, like sopranos was, but it has a little comedy in it. the main character (dexter) is a blood spatter analyst for the miami pd by day and serial killer by night. but, he has an ethical code that he goes by so that's how they make you root for him even though he's doing some pretty disturbing stuff. i love doakes. he drops f-bombs to punctuate his intensity. i also like masuka-he's hilarious with his inappropriateness. and, in the midst of all my premieres, i have been watching my boys, the la galaxy (soccer), in their do-or-die situation for every game they play. they HAVE to win almost all their games to keep their post-season hopes alive. thankfully they seemed to have found a little rhythm, they've been winning. their next game is on the 7th. keeping my fingers crossed. *hey jenny bergerson: there's a player on the team that is an osu alum!!! another one went to uw and is from junction city. ok, that's a pretty good rant about tv for tonight. now before you shake your head at me, just remember...tv is good. :)

  1. I am so totally jealous! The cable guy doesn't hook us up until Oct. 25th! That was the earliest appointment we could get. I missed out on the majority of the season premiers! Sad to say I'm a tv-holic. "My name is Pauline and I have a problem. I'm addicted to tv"

  2. What about CSI:Miami? That show is heating up - as if a show with Adam Rodriguez on it isn't hot enough already!! I couldn't believe that season premiere!! So looking forward to hearing more about the new story line! Totally agree that Gray's was amazing!
