got the call this morning at 5:30...our district's closed due to the winter storm (my college pals in oregon would laugh at what dallas calls a winter storm) and icy roads. most people wouldn't know the power the transportation department has. they are the "godfather" of the district, you know. they're the ones who decide whether the weather is severe enough to cancel the running of buses thereby cancelling school district wide...afterall, you can't have school if kids can't come, right? {grinning ear to ear}
Okay...sorry it took me this long to look at this cool new blog thingy you have slaved to create. This is so great! Once again, you have inspired me. I can't wait to see you this weekend.

That is a sorry show of snow there. But we haven't gotten any either. However we are into a 22 day long cold streak. I am not joking when I say it is down to 19 degrees at night here. But dry. Our rain is predicted to hit on Monday night....probably in the form of freezing. Cross you fingers that the roads are too iced over to drive for me.
